Pastoral Care

While the ongoing and daily means of caring for our church is facilitated through Community Groups, we also offer intensive ongoing or one-time pastoral care when needs arise. Pastoral Care seeks to come alongside someone’s journey of spiritual health and maturity as we seek to follow Jesus together. We value caring for those who need help with their past, present, or future, helping them by the power of the Spirit grow in grace and truth.

Counseling Referrals

The purpose of counseling referrals at Citizens Church is to help extend the ability of our pastoral team to care for our church’s members. Counseling referrals are not a way to outsource the responsibility of pastors to shepherd the flock of Citizens Church, but rather work in conjunction with and underneath the broader scope of care the pastors exercise over the congregation.

Citizens Church has an active partnership with Anchored Hope that allows us to partner members with Biblically grounded, clinically informed, virtual counseling for various areas of life.

Premarital Care + Weddings

We love God's gift of marriage and are happy to serve our members by performing weddings. We have careful precautions that we consider before marrying a couple, so if you'd like us to perform your wedding, we ask that you sign up for premarital counseling. The cost of our premarital counseling is $100, which covers books and materials, a pre-marriage assessment, and 5 one-hour sessions with a trained pastor or lay leader.

*Due to theological convictions and leadership limitations, we currently only offer premarital care and wedding officiating for those who are an active part of our church family.

Mercy + Benevolence

Our Mercy and Benevolence Ministry seeks to extend the love of Jesus to our members and our neighbors by meeting their financial and physical needs. We offer financial assistance to members and regular attenders of our church who are in need. We also are available to help connect you to resources and social services in our area.

Adoption Grants

Adoption is close to the heart of God because it is close to the story of the gospel. Through the work of Christ Jesus, we are spiritually adopted into the family of God. When we move out into the world and seek to adopt, that is mirroring in one specific way the heart of God. Unfortunately, modern adoption has only gotten more complicated and financially inaccessible. To that end, we desire as a church family to come alongside and financially support church members seeking to adopt.
