The Citizens Weekender is your on-ramp to community and connection at Citizens.

At the Weekender, you'll learn about:

  • The vision and values of our church

  • The how and what of Community Groups

  • Serving opportunities

  • What it looks like to be a Covenant Member

On Saturday we’ll go over the “why” behind what we believe and the “what & how” logistics of how you can get connected and practically take your next steps. Sunday morning you will have an opportunity to shadow a Serving Team!

FAQs

Who IS THE WEEKENDER For?

The Weekender is designed for anyone who wants to learn more about connection and meaningful community at Citizens Church. Whether you are brand new or have been around for a while, we’d love to have you join us!

What is the schedule of the weekender?

The Weekender consists of two parts; part one takes place on Saturday, part two on Sunday.

Saturday morning will focus on the vision and values of Citizens Church. You'll have a chance to hear from our pastors and staff and have all of your questions answered about life at Citizens. This morning session lasts from 9am - 1pm and breakfast, lunch, and childcare will be provided.

Then on Sunday, you'll have the opportunity to shadow one of our Sunday Teams, to see how you might begin to contribute to the life of our church on a regular basis. The Weekender ends with our monthly First Sunday Feast, where we go to Capishe (located right next door to the Dowd YMCA) together to eat as a church after the Sunday Gathering. Lunch is covered for Weekender participants!

What about my kids?

We provide on-site childcare for your kids, ages 6 months – 5th grade! When you RSVP yourself, include your kids so we can know to be well prepared and ready to receive them! We also provide a reimbursement to offset some of the cost of at home childcare if you prefer.

What are my next steps after The Weekender?

After the Weekender, you'll have the opportunity to join a Community Group, begin serving and pursue church membership. We want to make sure every Weekender participant leaves with tangible next steps for being connected to the life of our community. Again, while the Weekender is the on-ramp to connection at Citizens, it is not a commitment.
